道程レコーズ第7弾！Hiphop のビートメーカーとして活動していた”KOR-ONE”が、House/Techno を制作するプロジェクトとして始動した”BITOWA”名義でのファーストEP! ”彼が2021年頃に既に制作していた”Septemba”の原型となるバージョンを聴いてリリースをオファーした2024年3 月にはじまり、5月には彼が家族と住む沖縄に実際に赴き、沖縄の空気を吸いながら沖縄の飯を食い、本州よりも少し早い梅雨の雨に打たれ、制作を進めてきました。元々はMPC2000とレコードからのサンプリングのみで 10年ほどに渡り制作をしていた bitowa が、制作環境や人間関係の変化、そして沖縄への移住を経た後、シンセドラムで作るビートの鳴りに出会い、イーブンキックの音楽へと移行したのは今から 7~8 年前のこと。彼と彼が向き合ってきた音楽の時間軸上にある一つの重要なマイルストーンとして Dotei Records はこのEPを物質化します。青々と広がる沖縄の海と空、空港に降り立った瞬間から体に入り込んでくる言葉では形容できない沖縄の空気を想像しながら、レコードに針を落としてみてください” by 道程レコーズ ”Septemba EP is the first EP under the name bitowa, also known as KOR-ONE. KOR-ONE is best-known as a hip-hop beat maker and member of the collective TempleATS during the 00s. Originally, for about 10 years, he had been creating music using only an MPC2000 and samples from records. However, after changes in his production environment, personal relationships, and relocation to Okinawa, he discovered the sound of beats made with synth drums. And about 7-8 years ago, he transitioned to four-on-the-floor music. In March 2024, I offered to release this EP after hearing the original version of Septemba that he created around 2021. Then, in May, I visited him and his family in Okinawa. Together, we absorbed the Okinawan air, ate local food, got drenched in the rainy season, and deepened our relationship. Dotei Records created this record as an important milestone in the timeline of his musical journey.
